Regis Philbin Christmas

Regis Philbin appeared on "The Late Show with David Letterman" last night to promote his new Christmas album. The interview was quite entertaining, but the music left something to be desired.

Regis performed "Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer" with Donald Trump. Actually, Regis sang the song, and 'Don' came out for a brief line, which he spoke rather than sung. Donald walked out when Regis sang, "Then one foggy Christmas eve, the Trumpster came to say." "Rudolph, you are so bright. Guide my frickin' sleigh tonight." When the instrumentals wrapped up the end of the song, Trump said, "Rudolph, you're hired. Blitzen, you're fired!"

What is that? Horrible. Trump added nothing to the track, and Regis was merely average. I'm not going to buy the album, even as a joke.

By the way, have you heard that Oprah will be on Letterman Thursday night? That was much the topic of conversation between Dave and Regis last night. It's been 16 years since Oprah appeared on "The Late Show."
